The Mountain Equipment Earthrise Men's Hooded Jacket combines 100% recycled Earthrise 20D fabrics with 155g of 700 fill power recycled down to deliver lightweight, compressible insulation for mountain use. Designed for ski tourers, alpine climbers and cold-weather walkers, it offers an efficient balance of warmth, packability and weather resistance. No verified temperature rating has been supplied, but the jacket is intended for cold mountain conditions, overnight camps and alpine environments.

Performance & Engineering

• Mountain HC Insulated Hood. Designed with a fully adjustable Mountain HC Insulated Hood that is optimised for use with or without a helmet, providing valuable warmth and protection during exposed alpine pursuits.

• Windproof Protection with PFAS-Free DWR. Engineered to be completely windproof and finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment, helping repel light showers and melting snow while maintaining comfort in changing mountain weather.

• Harness-Friendly Storage & Packability. Built with multiple zipped pockets for secure storage and a design that packs into its own hand pocket with twin karabiner carry loops, making it easy to carry on a climbing harness or stow in a pack.

Care & Longevity

Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C using a specialist down cleaner. Tumble dry on a cool setting to help restore loft and maintain insulation performance. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid standard detergents and always follow the manufacturer's care instructions to preserve down performance and durability.
