The Mountain Equipment Switch Pants are engineered for mountaineers and ski tourers who need lightweight, highly breathable leg insulation during sustained effort in cold conditions. Combining a 20D RS Nylon outer with an Octayarn Warp-knit lining, they deliver wind-resistant protection, rapid moisture transfer, and low-bulk warmth for alpine climbing, ski touring, Scottish winter routes, Alpine north faces, and remote Himalayan objectives.

• Octayarn Active Insulation – Built with a highly breathable Octayarn Warp-knit lining that uses hollow, multidentate fibres to trap warm air while moving moisture away from the skin during demanding climbs, long approaches, and fast-paced ascents.

• Lightweight Wind Protection – Engineered with a lightweight 20D RS Nylon outer fabric that resists wind and uses a PFAS-free DWR finish to shed light rain, spindrift, and cold mountain weather.

• Low-Bulk Layering System – Designed to perform as a stand-alone layer during high-output movement and as an insulating mid-layer beneath hard shell or soft shell trousers when conditions become more severe.

• Unrestricted Mountain Mobility – Built with mechanical stretch, an active fit, and a gusseted crotch to support high steps, technical climbing movements, and efficient travel while carrying a pack or wearing a harness.

• Fast-Drying Expedition Performance – The highly breathable lining construction eliminates unnecessary bulk, helping the pants dry quickly after prolonged exertion and making them suitable for multi-day mountain objectives.
