Description
This lightweight waterproof shell is designed for trekking and backpacking in the mountains. Combining two weights of DRILITE®, making it both packable and durable enough for regular use with a pack.
The Tacul is a lightweight, comfortable and packable waterproof jacket that’s ideal for trekking and backpacking in the mountains.
The Tacul is a hybrid shell with 2 different types of DRILITE®+ waterproof fabric to give the best combination of performance. DRILITE®+ 3-layer 50 denier fabric is used over the shoulders for greater durability, especially with a pack, and DRILITE®+ 2.5-layer 50 denier fabric is used through the rest of the jacket for comfort and low weight. Crucially, these fabrics have a 20,000mm hydrostatic head, in the real world that means they’re properly waterproof whilst retaining excellent breathability for all-day comfort.
The Tacul shares the same well-proven Alpine fit as much of our shell range and also has a protective and adjustable Mountain Hood. Whilst easily coping with severe conditions, it’s not quite as large as the helmet-compatible version often found elsewhere in our range.
There’s a moulded YKK® Aquaguard centre front zip and 2 hand pockets. Underarm core venting zips give extra air flow when needed. Adjustable cuffs and dual tether hem drawcords allow you to fine-tune the fit on the move.
Materials
Waterproof, windproof and breathable: Recycled 2,5-layer DRILITE 50 Denier fabric with a 75% recycled membrane and PFAS-free DWR treatment will keep you dry
