The Mountain Equipment Orion Jacket is a technical waterproof shell built with 3-layer DRILITE® XT 70D fabric and advanced mountain-focused construction for climbers, mountaineers and ski tourers. Designed for Ice & Mixed Climbing and Alpine Climbing, it combines exceptional breathability, durable weather protection and a highly protective helmet-compatible hood for demanding mountain environments.

• DRILITE® XT Waterproof Technology - Engineered with 3-layer DRILITE® XT 70D fabric and a nanoporous membrane featuring 10 billion nanopores per square inch, delivering highly breathable waterproof protection with a hydrostatic head exceeding 20,000mm for sustained performance in severe weather.
• Advanced Storm Construction - Built using laser cutting, bonding and optimised stitch counts to reduce bulk, improve durability and provide dependable protection during technical climbing and mountaineering objectives.

Care & Longevity

Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C using liquid detergent or a specialist cleaner. Tumble dry on a low heat with a slow spin speed, or line dry and use a cool iron with a protective cloth to help reactivate the DWR treatment. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not iron zips, zip edges or logos.
