Lightweight insulation for fast mountain movement

The Mountain Equipment Intra Light Men's Vest combines HELIUM 20D fabric, 40g m⁻² Aerius™ synthetic insulation, and an Octayarn Warp-knit back panel to deliver breathable core warmth with minimal weight. Designed for hikers, ski tourers, rock climbers and alpine climbers, it provides versatile insulation for active mountain use whilst maintaining excellent moisture management and packability. Its low-bulk design integrates easily into any layering system, whether worn over a base layer or beneath a shell.

• HELIUM 20D Shell Fabric – Built with HELIUM 20D fabrics that deliver lightweight wind resistance and exceptional breathability, helping maintain comfort during exposed ridgelines, fast ascents and changing conditions.

• Octayarn Warp-Knit Back Panel – Designed with an Octayarn Warp-knit back to maximise moisture transfer and drying speed, particularly during long approaches or sustained movement with a pack.

• Technical Layering Performance – Utilises a YKK® Vislon® centre front zip with insulated baffle to reduce cold spots and improve thermal efficiency when worn as either an outer or mid-layer.

• Packable Mountain Utility – Incorporates two zipped hand pockets, one chest pocket, and a lightweight stuff sack, allowing secure storage and compact packing when space is limited.

Care & Longevity

Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C using liquid detergent or a specialist cleaner. Tumble dry on a low heat with a slow spin speed and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to help maintain insulation loft and long-term performance. Always follow the garment care label and avoid excessive heat during drying.
