Adaptive insulation for fast alpine movement

The Mountain Equipment Switch Pro Hooded Jacket combines a 20D RS Nylon outer fabric, innovative Octayarn Warp-knit insulation, and strategically placed 162g m⁻² brushed-back stretch fleece panels to deliver warmth, breathability and rapid moisture management during high-output mountain activities. Built for climbers, ski tourers and mountaineers, it excels in situations where changing layers frequently is impractical, offering effective insulation, weather protection and unrestricted mobility across technical terrain.

Performance & Engineering

• Octayarn Active Insulation - Engineered with Octayarn Warp-knit fabric, using hollow multi-dentate fibres to trap warm air while maximising breathability and moisture transfer, helping maintain comfort during sustained uphill efforts and exposed belays.
• Hybrid Construction for Temperature Regulation - Designed with 162g m⁻² brushed-back stretch fleece panels across the underarms, side panels and hood to increase airflow, reduce overheating and improve mobility during technical climbing and ski-touring.
• Lightweight Weather Protection - Built with a 20D RS Nylon outer fabric and a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish that helps shed light rain, snow and spindrift while protecting against cold winds.
• Climbing-Focused Active Fit - Utilises an Active Fit and stretch construction to allow unrestricted movement when reaching for holds, carrying a pack or layering beneath a shell jacket.
• Packable Mountain Utility - Equipped with 2 zipped hand warmer pockets, 1 zipped chest pocket and the ability to pack into its own pocket with twin karabiner carry loops, making it easy to clip to a harness and carry on long alpine objectives.

Care & Longevity

Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C using liquid detergent or a specialist cleaner. Tumble dry on a low heat with a slow spin speed, then store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid high-temperature washing, aggressive detergents and excessive heat that may reduce the effectiveness of the DWR treatment and technical fabrics over time.
