Fast warmth for exposed mountain transitions

The Mountain Equipment Aerius Insulated Skirt combines HELIUM 20D fabric with 60g/m² Aerius™ synthetic insulation to provide lightweight, packable warmth during demanding mountain activities. Designed for ski tourers and winter mountaineers, it delivers rapid insulation when conditions turn cold and windy, while full-length zips allow quick layering over existing clothing, ski boots or crampons. Compact and easy to carry, it packs into its own pocket for reliable warmth whenever needed.

• Aerius™ Synthetic Insulation – Engineered with 60g/m² Aerius™ synthetic insulation to provide an outstanding warmth-to-weight ratio and reliable compressibility for carrying in a pack during long mountain days.

• HELIUM 20D Shell Fabric – Built with HELIUM 20D fabric that is lightweight, wind-resistant and highly breathable, helping maintain comfort during rest stops, alpine starts and exposed ridgelines.

• Mountain-Ready Layering System – Designed with full-length 2-way YKK® moulded side zips and a rear insulated baffle for rapid on-and-off use over mountain clothing, even when wearing skis, boots or crampons.

• Freedom of Movement – Utilises a 1/3 length YKK® Vislon® side zip to improve mobility and comfort while walking, climbing or transitioning between activities.

• Packable Utility – Packs into a hand pocket and includes twin karabiner carry loops, allowing easy attachment to a harness or convenient storage inside a backpack.

Care & Longevity

Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C using liquid detergent or a specialist cleaner. Tumble dry on a low heat with a slow spin speed and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to help maintain insulation loft and weather-resistant performance. Avoid high-heat drying and always follow the garment care label and manufacturer guidance.
